After 14 years of success, Opendatasoft is becoming Huwise to better reflect our vision: elevating human thinking through data. What remains unchanged is our passion and enthusiasm for helping our clients move from isolated use cases to large-scale data adoption across their organization, delivering knowledge, innovation, and performance.

After more than 14 years of experience in data democratization, helping deliver over 3,000 customer projects in 25 countries, Opendatasoft is rebranding to become Huwise. This transformation is not simply a change of name. It reflects the profound evolution of our solution in response to the changing needs of data leaders as they look to deploy data products and deliver usable data to business and non-expert users. We help to make data products easily accessible and usable and to transform them into a source of knowledge, innovation, and performance for organizations.

Why are you changing your identity?

68% of data remains unused in organizations, according to IDC research from 2024. This is despite massive investment in storage, analysis and infrastructure such as data lakes, data warehouses, catalogs, and BI tools.

The conclusion is clear: generating value isn’t about the volume of data available in expert tools, but in ensuring this data is consumed by business teams.

This reality has led us to evolve our name to Huwise (Human + Wise). This rebranding reflects our vision: to elevate human thinking through data. It is this objective that drives us. To help organizations on this path, we provide a solution that enables data exploration and consumption by business users, not just data experts.

Since its foundation, Opendatasoft has been recognized as a pioneer in open data and public information sharing. With Huwise, we now support all organizations in all sectors to share, internally or externally, all of their data assets, whether this is internal data, customer data, external repositories, partner data, or open data.

 

 

With our new identity, we want to highlight our technical expertise. The letter H for “Human”, graphically treated in our logo with this symbol [-], represents a field of research, a space of expression as a subtle invitation to explore data. The two hooks frame without enclosing, like an opening to access an infinite source of knowledge. Our new logo is therefore the perfect match between our vision, at the service of human thought, and the goal of our product: to ensure access to data generates transformational value for organizations.

This rebranding coincides with the general availability of our new marketplace experience. We are no longer just a solution for developing open data portals. We now offer our customers a fully featured data product marketplace, which can be adapted to sharing data internally or externally.
