Our name change reflects the evolution of our product and the general availability of our new marketplace experience.* Today, we no longer define ourselves solely as an open data portal solution, but as a data product marketplace solution, designed for broader use cases: internal data sharing, collaboration with partners, and much more. This evolution is aligned with current data management trends. As recognized by Gartner in its latest Hype Cycle for Data Management (July 2025), data product marketplace solutions, including Huwise, address the growing need among data leaders to share data at scale.
With our new identity, we want to highlight our technical expertise. The letter H for “Human”, graphically treated in our logo with this symbol [-], represents a field of research, a space of expression as a subtle invitation to explore data. The two hooks frame without enclosing, like an opening to access an infinite source of knowledge. Our new logo is therefore the perfect match between our vision, at the service of human thought, and the goal of our product: to ensure access to data generates transformational value for organizations.

We’ll be attending the Big Data Paris trade show on October 1–2 (with some goodies to share) and if you are going along, we’d be delighted to meet and explain more about the change.

Our mission now goes beyond open data, making all data more accessible and usable in all contexts: internal sharing, collaboration with partners, and more—all while continuing to fully address open data requirements. The recent evolution of our platform supports these new needs, while remaining aligned with the expectations of open data stakeholders. We remain fully committed to supporting our customers whenever their use cases involve broader sharing, simplified access, and better measurement of data usage—which directly matches the objectives of our open data clients.
No. This change is fully consistent with the recent evolution of our solution, including the new marketplace experience designed to make data sharing and usage easier across a wide range of contexts, through features such as business glossaries and access request workflows. It reflects a broader ambition that is better aligned with the value and vision of our solution. Our product roadmap and mission remains unchanged: to encourage the greater consumption and use of data and measure its impact.
Yes. Interfaces are evolving to replace all visual elements referring to “Opendatasoft” with “Huwise”, as well as those tied to our former visual identity (which is also changing).
That said, these updates will have a very limited impact on you and your users.

The change is immediate and took effect on September 30. As a valued client, we’ve already sent you a number of communications to keep you up-to-date with the change.
To make the transition to our new brand smoother and to avoid confusion for users familiar with the Opendatasoft platform, a transitional logo — displaying our new brand name “Huwise” with the mention “ex Opendatasoft” underneath — will appear in key places (such as the login interface, and user guide).
The new marketplace experience takes your existing portal further, enabling you to operate a fully-fledged data marketplace. It adopts e-commerce principles to make data access and usage as intuitive and seamless as when discovering and consuming products on a marketplace, thanks to redesigned interfaces and new features.
Beyond basic datasets, you can now manage and share a wide range of data assets: data products, assets from data catalogs, BI reports, documents, and more.
We have redesigned the experience for both data producers and consumers, giving you greater flexibility and control when managing all your data assets.

Yes. This rebranding will have no impact on your contractual terms. All commitments and conditions remain the same.
There is no impact on existing signed contracts, which remain valid without any modification. The new name will appear on future documents.
This won’t be necessary. This is not a change of provider, but solely an evolution of our brand identity. Contracts, points of contact, service terms, and commitments all remain unchanged.
No. Only the name is changing to reflect our new identity, and this evolution will be entirely handled by our teams. Your access to the platform and APIs will remain unchanged and won’t require you to do anything.
Your portal will be available at a new address adapted to the new brand. However, existing addresses ending in .opendatasoft.com will continue to work to ensure current use cases function properly. If you have a custom domain name associated with your portal, nothing will change — it will remain accessible exactly as before.
An alias system will also be implemented to ensure continued support for current platform use via .opendatasoft.com URLs.
No, your current IDs and accounts remain unchanged. You can continue logging in as before, with no interruptions or changes to access.
Your authentication method (SAML, SSO, etc.) remains the same. All existing authentication configurations are preserved and will be managed by us to ensure a smooth transition with no impact on your access.
We will continue sending you emails and notifications as before. Starting today, these messages will gradually come from new addresses linked to our new Huwise brand.
If you have specific security rules in place (for example, filters or whitelists), we recommend updating them to ensure you continue receiving notifications without interruption.

No, you will not need to log back in then. URLs ending in opendatasoft.com remain active and will continue to function for some time.
Not necessarily. In general, your users primarily associate your portal with your brand or organization, rather than with our solution.
However, this name change does provide an opportunity to communicate your ongoing commitment to making your data increasingly accessible. It reflects our belief that data has the power to elevate thinking, thanks to a solution that facilitates large-scale access. As a client, you are welcome to share this message to highlight your efforts!
Absolutely, a kit is available to help you contribute to and actively participate in communicating to your users about this change. We want you to be fully part of the new Huwise adventure!
Yes. All email addresses containing “Opendatasoft” are being automatically redirected to the new ones containing our new name, thanks to aliasing systems. This ensures seamless continuity in your interactions with our support or teams — even if you continue to send messages to the old addresses we will receive them.
