Exploring the latest Huwise developments to accelerate the use of AI-ready data
How can organizations ensure that their data is really discovered, understood, and consumed at scale - by both business teams and AI agents? At Huwise, we believe that data only creates value when it is actually used. That’s why we’re continuously evolving our platform to accelerate data adoption. Here’s a look at the key developments we’ve introduced over the past few months.
A high-performing data marketplace shouldn’t be measured by the volume of data it contains, but by its ability to make the right data accessible and useful to the widest possible audience.
As organizations strive to accelerate data usage, the challenge is to make data easy to discover, understand, and leverage, not just by business users, but also by AI agents.
Over the past few months, at Huwise we’ve continued to enhance our platform around three key priorities:
- Simplifying data exploration to increase user independence and autonomy
- Connecting more environments to unlock value from a broader range of data assets
- Deploying agentic AI to maximize the impact of our customers’ data marketplaces
Simplifying data exploration to empower business users
One of the biggest barriers to data adoption is still the difficulty business users face in finding and leveraging the right data.
Huwise’s latest enhancements streamline this experience, enabling everyone to independently discover, understand, and use data more quickly within the data marketplace – without having to rely on data teams for every request.
A new exploration workspace to bring business ideas to life and free up data team time
How can organizations accelerate data usage without overwhelming data teams with one-off requests? To overcome this problem, Huwise has introduced a new analysis workspace, seamlessly integrated into customer data marketplaces.
This dedicated environment allows users to explore data directly within the marketplace, without interrupting their workflow or switching to Excel or another external tool. They can test hypotheses, compare different analytical perspectives, refine visualizations in just a few clicks, and export their results – all while preserving the data’s business context.

The goal is to give business users greater independence and help them move more quickly from discovering data to taking action, without requiring data teams to support every ad hoc analysis.
Richer data product pages to provide a complete view of value and make them easier to use
How can organizations give users all the information they need to understand, evaluate, and confidently use the right data?
Data itself is only part of the story. Its context, origins, and business use cases are equally essential for understanding its value and driving adoption.
To support this, Huwise has enhanced marketplace data product pages, providing a more comprehensive view of every data asset. Users can now easily access key information about each product’s sources, associated use cases, and core characteristics, making it simpler to assess its relevance and accelerate its adoption.

Example of an enriched discovery experience on the UK Power Networks public data marketplace
This approach makes data lineage visible in a simplified, business-friendly way. Users can better understand where a dataset comes from, the role it plays within the organization’s data ecosystem, and the use cases associated with it – without requiring technical expertise.
Catalog cards also become true entry points to data, offering next-step actions tailored to each user’s needs. Depending on the options defined by the data product owner, users can either access the data directly or explore its enriched context to better understand its value before using it.
Extending the marketplace experience to new data sources for business users
Today, organizational data is spread across a wide range of environments, including data lakes, data catalogs, BI tools, and operational business systems. This diversity reflects an operational reality: each environment serves specific needs depending on use cases, data volumes, or technical constraints.
But what if high-value business data – regardless of where it resides – could be discovered through a single, unified experience designed specifically for data exploration? Huwise data marketplaces connect to organizations’ existing data environments, making valuable data easier to discover and use, while fully respecting security and governance requirements.
Zero-copy sharing now includes Databricks to unlock the value of large-scale data
Huwise’s zero-copy sharing capability, which is already available for Snowflake, has now been extended to support Databricks.
This approach makes data discoverable and ready to use through the marketplace’s intuitive interface and built-in consumption tools, while keeping it in its original environment. There is no data duplication, and the organization’s single source of truth remains intact.
As a result, organizations can democratize access to data while maintaining strong security and governance. Data stays under control while becoming accessible to a broader community of users.
New data catalog integrations bring data governance and business usage closer together
Data catalogs play a critical role in organizing and governing an organization’s data assets by providing a comprehensive inventory of available information. Data marketplaces complement this by adding a dedicated usage layer, enabling business users to discover, understand, and consume relevant data, rather than just accessing metadata.
Unlike a comprehensive inventory, a data marketplace takes a usage–driven approach, highlighting a curated selection of high-value data products. This helps guide users toward the most relevant data for their needs and accelerates adoption.
In line with this vision, Huwise is continuing to expand its ecosystem of data catalog integrations with a new Precisely connector, complementing existing integrations with Atlan and Collibra.
Enhanced forms to collect more reliable, AI-ready data
Valuable information is still often scattered across multiple tools – or not captured at all, particularly in informal exchanges. Yet the way data is collected, structured, and maintained has a direct impact on both data and AI initiatives.
Huwise Forms provide a collaborative data collection mechanism directly integrated into data marketplaces. They enable data producers to collect structured information from consumers in a variety of formats, including file uploads, dates, times, geographic coordinates, and more.
This functionality has now been enhanced with new customization and pre-fill capabilities, making data collection simpler while increasing contributor engagement.
By structuring information from the moment it is collected, Huwise Forms help organizations produce more reliable, consistent, and AI-ready data.
Unlocking agentic AI’s potential to take customer data marketplaces to the next level
Generative AI is transforming the way users interact with data. At Huwise our aim is to enable employees and AI agents to query an organization’s data assets in natural language and receive reliable, relevant answers that comply with corporate governance policies.
An MCP server to connect the data marketplace with standard business tools and automate key actions
Today, users access information through a growing number of tools and entry points. The Huwise MCP Server extends the data marketplace experience beyond its native interface by making marketplace data accessible through AI assistants and common collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams. It also enables administrators to manage and automate key activities within their marketplace.
The MCP Server provides AI agents with the resources they need to interact effectively with the marketplace, including technical documentation and Huwise APIs. This allows agents to access and leverage data in a reliable, transparent, and context-aware manner.
“Chat with my data”: Huwy, a conversational agent that makes data exploration accessible to everyone
When users need information, they should be able to find it immediately-without navigating through multiple tools or conducting repeated searches.
Huwy enables users to explore their data through natural language, as easily as having a conversation. Going beyond traditional metadata-based search, Huwy analyzes the underlying data itself to deliver richer, context-aware answers, complete with source references and results that are fully aligned with organizational governance policies.
The goal is to help users find the right information faster, gain a deeper understanding of their data, and generate valuable insights – all while ensuring compliance with governance rules.
Roadmap: towards a new generation of self-learning data marketplaces that anticipate user needs
By making data more accessible, contextualized, and actionable, Huwise is transforming the way organizations enable both human users and AI agents to discover and leverage their data.
What if data marketplaces became smarter platforms capable of learning from usage patterns and continuously evolving?
By capturing rich usage signals – including searches, views, and interactions – Huwise data marketplaces gain unique insights into user needs. This enables them to personalize experiences, improve data discovery, and highlight the most relevant data assets.
Agentic AI opens up new opportunities to further enhance this experience. As part of our roadmap, Huwise is therefore developing intelligent agents that embed our expertise to help customers maximize the success of their data marketplaces and unlock new ways of using their data.

“A successful data marketplace is not the one with the most data, but the one that learns the fastest.”
