Currently Chief Data & Adtech Officer at the TF1 Group, François-Xavier Pierrel is one of the driving forces behind the digital acceleration of France’s leading media company. He leads a comprehensive strategy where data and artificial intelligence act as engines of growth for streaming (TF1+), advertising, news, and the Group’s business operations. A recognized expert in transforming organizations through technology, he skillfully combines Data, AI, AdTech, and MarTech approaches to turn innovation into tangible value creation.

His professional journey has been shaped at the heart of the global digital economy. After starting in telecommunications, he developed his data expertise at Meta and Microsoft, before addressing customer data challenges at Renault. In these roles, he led complex tech and data strategies consistently focused on optimizing customer relations (B2B and B2C) and marketing and commercial performance. He then took a strategic leap to JCDecaux as the company’s first Chief Data Officer, where he structured and deployed a large-scale data strategy across more than 40 countries and built a team of 75 experts—an achievement that earned him a spot in the prestigious Global Top 100 CDO in 2023.
